I should have known

I had Zachary with me last night at the races. He was such a good boy. He sat on the ground playing with his car and some rocks on the bleachers.
I didn't know he could have such a good time with just one car and so many rocks.So I asked him. "Are those race cars too Zacky?"
"No" he said.
puzzled I asked "what are they?"

He just looked up at me and said "ROCKS".

Mmmmm...This is one of my favorite pictures. I took this picture to text to Michelle while her and SinDee were out on the town. They left me home and I thought I could convince them to come back sooner. Doesn't it look good?

Oh, for the love of purple - Picture #3

I love these flowers. They bloom a couple times a year in my back yard and I just love the deep purple. If you can, look past the blury ones in the front and focus on the ones in the back to the left. I never know what I'll end up with on my phone camera.

Something You Should Know

I ditched my oh so cool blackberry. When I first got it, back in September of 08, I really liked it. No...I loved it. But man, it sure took crappy pictures. So it's gone.

Buh bye oh so cool blackberry. I have a beautiful black My Touch now. And guess what? It takes pretty good pictures.

I don't want to show you all of the great pictures that I have taken so far.
Nope, I'm going to save those for later.

Front Page - Picture #1

I didn't take this picture, but it's included because it was on my phone. My sister took it and sent it to me. She was excited to see the news rack at her work. Both of our local papers, the Mirror and The Pahrump Valley Times had my husband and the re-opening of the track on the front page.

I'm Back

Finally....I'm back to my blog. Now that I'm not so busy with work, I can start blogging again. Are you happy? Did you miss me?

To start, I have a second go round of phone pictures. I did this once before here and had such a great time doing it, I thought I would do it again. Same as last time though, the picture quality is not very good from my blackberry. The subjects of the pictures though, are the absolute best.

All of these pictures were taken several months ago and I love looking back at what was going on then. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do. Here we go, 29 days of fantastic blackberry pictures.

Hello

I just played chicken with a quail. I won, he moved.

I'm eating breakfast at Jack-in-the-box. They have an order here pay here kiosk. What will Jack come up with next?

Maybe when I get home I will have time to un-crypt these cryptic messages.

Now that we are done watering, I think I would like to drive over to pinto and say hi.

Chad and I have been working so much so the only place we get to talk is in the water truck, driving in circles.

But its fun I suppose.

I asked Chad if we could tip over. He said yes. Now I am really freaked out.

That was a nice 10 minute break. But now we are back to the side-ways slidding on the bumpy road.

Nutter butters always make me feel better.

This is a bumpy ride and I just drank a Pepsi so my insides are getting all fuzzy.

Slidding side-ways really freaks me out.

Remember a while ago when I told you how I love to let the kids play with my camera? How I love the shots I end up with when I look back at the pictures they took. What you can't see in the pictures they take, is the drama that goes on in order to get those great pictures.

I gave Zachary a hair cut and took this picture to send to his mom so she could see how cute he was.

Little Pink Bike - Picture #26

I took this picture to send to Mandy. I wanted to show her what we bought for her to play with when she came to visit. We don't really have any outdoor toys to play with, so we went to yard sales and 2nd hand stores to find some. This is the 1st thing we found. Not bad for 5 bucks.

I took this picture way out in the middle of nowhere. It's a long ride to there, but worth every second.

Hey! Where did they go? - Picture #24

This is what I do on my way to work. I take pictures out the window, along the side of the road, of nothing. Actually, I was trying to get something, I just wasn't fast enough.
Look in the center of the picture, hiding behind the frame rail of my car. Can you see that small tire and just the very back of a golf cart?
A little girl about 10 or 11 drives this golf cart to the bus stop every morning. In the passenger seat sits an older man, who I think is her Grandpa. Sometimes I go by early enough and I get to see her driving along. Other times they are already parked and Grandpa is sitting back, with his feet up on the dashboard, all relaxed, just waiting for the bus.
I wonder what they talk about. I bet that girl is going to have some great memories.

After sending this 2nd picture to Kristy, she decided that maybe she would like to try using this phone. So, of course Grandpa and Grandma ran right over there to deliver it to her.
I tried to erase all of Chad's contacts and pictures so she could start fresh with it. Instead of erasing just his, I erased all of hers too.
I'm sorry Kristy.
I'm glad she is only 10. I don't think she has a lot of contacts yet.

I love taking pictures of flowers. This was a plant that just bloomed at Taco-bell. It was in the drive thru. After I got my food, I stopped to take this picture.

We have a back yard? - picture # 16

There used to be a wall on our patio. We couldn't see the back yard because it was to tall so we took it down. I wanted to see if Kristy would notice anything different so I took this picture and sent it to her in a text message. She noticed right away.

Kristy's dog chewed up her charger, so she switched phones with her mom. She said it was hard to text now. Grandpa said she could try his, so I took a picture to send her to see if she liked it.
