Although I wouldn't buy this funny little car, it caught my eye right away as I was leaving work for lunch today. I couldn't help but take a picture. It's a Scion XB and I bet it sales fast. Maybe a young kid will buy it and load it full of speakers. Fun and strange.
Slight correction: It's a Nissan Cube - basically the guts of a Versa with a boxy, asymmetric body dropped on top. I've seen a few of them on the road here, and I'm not impressed. Kudos to Nissan for having the guts to green-light a polarizing design, but sometimes the result just misses the mark.
ReplyDeleteThe xB, in comparison, is more purposeful and less cartoonish. Though, frankly, the first-generation xB, literally a box on wheels, remains my all-time fave. That was a real high point of modern automotive design, IMHO.

Ha! And I thought I was so smart! I googled for the model, and even after looking at the pictures I was sure it was a Scion.
